If every disease is different, why should standardized treatment forms and medications have the same success in every person? We see the person in front of us and individually put together a treatment program in accordance with internationally recognized guidelines.
Every disease runs a different course. Even if there are commonalities, recovering your health depends on many factors. This is reflected in our approach. When we start caring for you, our work comprises three binding cornerstones:
We ensure that the results of all preliminary examinations and treatments are available in our practice, where they are read, processed, and recorded in a therapy protocol. In your first therapy session, the specialist information is supplemented with your perceptions of pain and improvements and the side effects you have experienced. This is followed by examinations, which also serve to make the treatment more precise. For example, we conduct sensitivity tests – a liquid biopsy – for chemotherapy to create and recommend an individual treatment plan.
You can view this therapy plan at any time. No matter whether you want to know about results and next steps or need to understand the costs associated with your treatment course, our commitment is to never leave you in the dark.
Our work involves intelligent people who contribute their experience and empathy. We have established a set of rules, in which every opinion is heard and no idea is ignored. This includes external tumor conferences along with daily case discussions and patient record reviews in our medical practice.
The treatment focus of our medical practice is on hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is a targeted temperature increase in a specific body region/organ (local hyperthermia) and/or the entire body (fever-like prolonged whole-body hyperthermia). Similar to an artificially induced fever. These processes stimulate the immune system and enhance the outcomes of chemotherapy and radiation. Our medical practice offers both whole-body hyperthermia, in which the entire body is heated to temperatures between 38 and 40.5 °C, as well as local hyperthermia, in which the heat targets the affected body regions. We also offer all common hyperthermia measures.
Hyperthermia can also be effectively used for treating chronic illnesses such as asthma, allergies, rheumatoid diseases, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, general pain, skin disease such as neurodermatitis, psoriasis, fatigue etc.
Dr. Sahinbas is one of the leading European experts in hyperthermia, especially in the area of oncological treatment. As an award-winning radiation therapy expert and radiologist, he treats patients at a university hospital in addition to working in his own private practice and is the founder of the Institute for Hyperthermia Research.
He is the president of the German Society for Hyperthermia and a frequent speaker at national and international medical congresses. Ensuring the best possible treatment for his patients is his highest priority. That’s why he engages in research and is committed to standardizing hyperthermia as an approved treatment that is reimbursable by health insurance.
Dr. Sahinbas arranges, executes and accompanies every patient’s hyperthermia, chemotherapy and radiation treatment, with consistent focus on maintaining an intact immune system. These treatments are partly administered in the medical practice or, in the case of radiation therapy, at the university hospital. This allows us to ensure that all treatment is optimally coordinated.
Dr. Sahinbas is a trained radiologist and radiation therapist. Based on his intensive work with oncology patients and his own life story, he has always kept an open mind for other auxiliary methods borne by the experience of medicine.
That’s why our hyperthermia practice can offer broad knowledge and supportive therapy options. Complementary therapies include:
Used to address chemotherapy-induced fatigue, improve quality of life, alleviate side effects, but also for pain relief and depression.
Used as an adjunctive treatment for conventional oncology therapy, to treat chronic infections and inflammations or after surgery.
These include curcumin, St. John’s Wort (hypericin), artesunate (known agent for treating malaria) infusions, etc …. They are administered to treat rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases or cancer. Dr. Sahinbas was among the first physicians to research the effects of curcumin in Europe and apply it. He even developed the dosage instructions for curcumin!
